The inhabitants of this city are colorful to say in the least. I met only a handful, yet they all differ in appearances as well as personalities.

It was almost like being welcomed back into Hell.

Granted it was not much of a welcome. Though perhaps the lukewarm reception can be explained my supposed previous appearance in the city that left some with less than agreeable memories.

People always seem to have expectations associated with my name. They almost always end up horribly disappointed.

I've never lived for anyone but myself so the reaction is to be expected.

I found Elaine Belloc. Rather, it was she who found me. She had met some of the very same people who had greeted me when I first arrived in the city.

Observing the city and its inhabitants in the past three days was fruitful. There is some great power here that controls their actions, or at the very least affects their judgment. Like puppets on a string, compelled to move by to the promptings of the hand that holds the reigns. I seem to be unaffected at least. If this is some form of immunity -- whether by virtue of my arriving only recently -- or luck in the great lottery of Fate, I do not yet know. Elaine Belloc was unaffected as well, though I've seen very little of her in the last few days.

I was busy after all, settling in, for lack of a better term. I appropriated a floor of a warehouse, empty save for the two residents on the upper two floors. It is modest compared to some of my previous residences, but it'll serve. It is also a little devoid of furniture at the moment, but have plenty of wards already in place. There is nothing much I require, and relative peace and quiet I already have in this out of the way hideout. There is the matter of the interminable ticking that gets louder when one is alone. Perhaps I did not notice it before surrounded as I was with other sights and sounds. I find the ticking only slightly more annoying than the continuous joyous singing of praises by the Seraphs to my father. Ambient noise -- that's all it is in the end. At times, however, it's hard to hear myself think, so I'll have to do something about that.

I hope there is someone in this city who deals in fine musical instruments.

[ooc notes: MIA the past few days because my laptop insists on doing the Blue Screen of Death (TM).
When I applied for this character I wasn't aware that Lucifer was NPCed last April o_O (and the one played him was so awesome, I feel like an utter failure m(_._)m). So if you talked to him then, can we settle with him not knowing anything about it? So if asked, he's likely to go, 'what the hell?' Thanks~! And I'm new at this so if you'd pardon my first few mistakes I shall give you cookies &hearts
Also, he moved in on the second floor of the warehouse. I hope it isn't a problem.
And yes, he's looking for a piano =P].
