To put things back in order, there a few orders of business I need to do away with:

Lux is hiring. A certain amount of imperviousness to damage by fire is desired but not required.

And to your holiness, Duma, the tutelary angel of silence and keeper of both keys to heaven and hell sends his quiet regards. Even though he was nearly frightened to speaking when I showed up.

Moving on.

I was not expecting a warm welcome when I returned. Indeed I expected no welcome for I had not intended to return at all. The momentary display of pyrotechnics really was unnecessary.

The end result is rectified easily enough.

Though not before the whole extent of damage has been taken into account.

But that is not what this is about isn't it?

Did you really believe that if I had found a means of egress, I would still rather choose to stay?

I left because nothingness was preferable to staying and being constantly reminded that regardless of what I chose to do, inevitably everything still happens all according to the ineffable plan.

he god still triumphs.

I can't let him god win.

Even if it means giving up everything.

[ooc note: Link in the last line is not there. First part of the post is assumed (with Maz-mun's permission), and pertains to Mazikeen's overly warm welcome (in the literal sense of burning Lux down).]

[sound of footsteps and flick of the light switch]

About bloody time.

[sound of paper rustling]

Hn. I made the right choice in picking a librarian then, especially one well-versed in the inherent powers of blood in warding.

I should put back the other wards, however. Just so not to give anyone ideas.

And the Lady Rue does know her instruments. Pity this one was hardly used. Then again, that is my gain.

[sound of wood scraping against the floor and the a few tentative notes being drawn out from the piano]

Hn. Now to see if I haven't forgotten how to do this.

[sound of the same piece played four times in a row]

Oi, can't you bloody play something else?

...

I wasn't aware I had an audience.

Look, I've had a bloody rough day being hauled from half-way around the city. I find some of the classical pieces more pleasant to me ears. None of this jazz stuff.

I do not take requests.

[sound the same piece being played again]

Oh really? Well, you look like the kind of manthing that doesn't play very well anyway. Probably beyond your skills. And, oh, you dropped a note. AGAIN. You'd think after the fifth time, you'd have gotten it already.

[sound of the piano being slammed shut]

I ain't done talking to you! Come back here ye good for nothing talentless hack!

If this is the librarian's idea of a joke, I find it very much not to my liking.

*end voice post*

And he stalks off again. I pity the one he calls the librarian. It wasn't his fault really. But it sure is fun to finally be able to talk type, whatever, it's the same thing to me. And that piano is just plain mean and rude. He hasn't even been here a day and already I can not stand him! He thinks he's boss just because he's bigger than I am. I'm far prettier and more useful. I hope the master returns soon. I love the feel of his fingers on my keys. Oooh~! ♥

[ooc: Affected by his first City curse XD The piano and the laptop are talking. He's been out checking the Underground so he's out of the loop and doesn't know it's a curse yet. Anyone nice enough to tell him when he's in this mood? It's for poor Lucien's sake really. Strikes are mumbling. This text means the laptop. This text is the piano.]
